A First Bike Changes Everything

The Bicycle Thieves Project recently had the honor of giving a kid in need his very first bike. For most children, a first bike is something that just appears one day. For him, it had always been something he watched other kids enjoy from the sidelines. That absence may seem small to some, but for a child, it can quietly shape how they see themselves and where they feel they belong.

When he received the bike, the moment was filled with a mix of excitement and disbelief. This was a first chance to ride alongside friends, to learn balance, to feel independence, and to experience a simple childhood milestone that had previously been out of reach.
