Article: We Were On the News!

We Were On the News!

In early July, we launched a GoFundMe to help Xiomara, a resilient 5-year-old girl paralyzed from the waist down after a hit-and-run, get a custom adaptive tricycle. Her dad, Esteban, is a passionate cyclist who dreamed of one day riding alongside her.

When the campaign had raised just $500, Fox26 News picked up the story and brought Xiomara’s dream to thousands of viewers across California. Their coverage inspired an outpouring of support and helped us reach our $5,000 goal in under 12 hours.

Shortly after, Youth Sports Business Report featured Xiomara’s story as their “Feel-Good Friday” favorite of the week, highlighting how youth sports and community spirit can come together to create real change.

We are beyond grateful to both Fox26 and Youth Sports Business Report for helping us share Xiomara’s story. Because of them, and because of you, Xiomara will soon be riding beside her dad, just like she always dreamed.

This is what happens when a community shows up. This is what it looks like to believe every kid needs a bike.
