University of Oregon Philanthropy

Last April, the Bicycle Thieves Project formed an alliance with the Pi Kappa Alpha Chapter of the University of Oregon. Together, they embarked on a mission to raise funds for the Bikes for Kids Foundation, an organization that provides bicycles to economically disadvantaged children. Through a raffle, which featured exciting prizes such as an Xbox Series S, gift cards, and a Bicycle Thieves Project hoodie, the two groups were able to raise over $800.

The success of the fundraiser was a source of great pride and joy for everyone involved. It was heartening to see the community come together and work towards a common goal, pooling their resources and talents to make a positive impact on the lives of economically disadvantaged children. The funds raised would go a long way in providing bicycles to kids who would otherwise not have access to them, offering them an opportunity to experience the joys of cycling and enjoy the many benefits that come with it.

However, we views this success as only the beginning. We continue to seek new opportunities to help give as many bikes as possible to children in need.
